About Second Sight Productions

Welcome to Second Sight Productions where we produce high quality specialist countryside and machinery programmes on DVD, with an occasional foray into book publishing. The company, set up in 2000 by Alan James, has gone from strength to strength, rapidly becoming the first port of call for many a tractor and countryside enthusiast having earned a reputation for the reliable quality, creativity and excellent content of its programmes.

Alan's experience in the corporate, training and freelance film production world was the catalyst for the formation of SSP. Based in specially designed offices in his garden, Alan does much of the filming, script writing, editing and production as well as working alongside Ruth in the day to day running of the company.

Ryan Brazier has had extensive experience in programme making. He's bringing fresh ideas to Second Sight where in addition to programme production he's the website and social media expert. Away from work his children, dog, cats and guinea pigs keep him permanently occupied!

Ruth West joined to take on the administrative role and if you call us, it's Ruth you are likely to speak to. From supporting the creative team to ensuring the orders are completed, it's all in a day's work and she is learning lots more about tractors now! Ruth is a sporty country girl at heart and enjoys looking after her dog and hens, managing her ladies cricket team and ferrying around her rugby playing sons and daughter.

Maisie the Parson Russell Terrier spends most afternoons in the office dozing on her favourite chair with sporadic visits to check on the hens that live at the bottom of the garden!
