What goes on inside these huge machines? It’s a complete mystery to many people but in this programme we take the casing off a combine and explore how it works. There are close up views of each part of the harvester including the modern high-tech cabs of the latest models.
You’ll see the harvesting process, from the ‘olden days’ of sheaves and scythes right up to the state-of-the-art machinery of today, with film of a huge variety of harvesters of all ages, makes, models and colours along the way.
In addition there’s also a special feature on balers, very important members of the harvesting team on any farm and you’ll be surprised at how many different types of baler there are!
